About Maté Guru

Hi, my name is Miro & I am the guy behind the matéguru brand that I started in 2018 to help share & spread the good word of yerba maté in New Zealand.

I don’t come from South America & I don’t speak Spanish but that doesn’t stop me from being extremely passionate about yerba maté, which I have been since 2013 when my maté guru & friend Diego, introduced me to the Argentinian way of yerba.
